Don’t Get a PhD
It’s a bad idea for almost everyone.
I have a doctorate, otherwise known as a PhD, which stands for Doctor of Philosophy, (but in Latin). It took me from September 2005 to the very end of 2011 to complete, so that’s just over six years, with the official graduation taking place in the summer of 2012. I did the work full time until 2010, when I got a job in my field but it required the PhD to be finished in order to keep the job. Talk about stress!
