Hi Jade; Oh no, I’m not trying to make Colonialism sound good at all. Perhaps I should change the wording to “due to colonialism” rather than “thanks to colonialism.” Thanks so much for pointing this out to me. I ran this on my FB page and asked my Arabic speaking friends if I got anything wrong and didn’t get any answers so I figured it couldn’t be too bad. They would absolutely tell me.
