A new D&D campaign from Hit Point Press

Welcome to the Humblewood in the world of Everden. Here, the majestic Corvum, the imposing Strigs, the ranger Raptors, the down-to-earth Gallus, and the eccentric Luma live in harmony with the Humblefolk who live below the lofty city of Alderheart.

But wait! There is fire in the Humblewood and it threatens everyone!

Humblewood is a new D&D campaign that is on Kickstarter this month. It is a standalone campaign that allows players to take on the roles of one of the Birdfolk or one of the Humblefolk to save the forest. Characters will evolve from Level 1 to Level 5 throughout the campaign. It’s been getting a lot of buzz. It was fully funded in just a few hours. The campaign is family friendly and the art is out of this world cute!

I met the folks at Hit Point Press through friends at board game nights. I worked with them over December and January putting things in boxes for a different Kickstarter campaign. Recently, I’ve been working as customer support for this campaign, so I’ve gotten to know it really well.

I asked Hit Point Press founder Ricardo Evangelho what was the inspiration for the game.

He said he saw an image by artist Leesha Hannigan of a small bird. They had worked together before so they talked about creating maybe some cards, maybe a small booklet to talk about how to play a D&D character that was a bird. The idea grew and grew and became the Humblewood that you see today. They tell me that there is far more to the world than just the Humblewood, too!
