I am playing through my first campaign as a L6 mage descending to Avernus. I’m finding that there’s far too much combat but our DM says that it’s as much a phase of the game as anything else. I’m also discovering that one of my friends (not the DM) is a serious quarterbacker and that I don’t have an obvious answer to. Our DM is new to the role so we’re all learning. So far, so good. Except for the wannabe pro football player in the corner, that is!
