It sounds like you would very much like to live in Canada! We have a publicly funded news outlet called the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation that is mandated to be available to all Canadians regardless of where they live. Canada has a lot of remote areas and in some places, CBC radio or TV were the only media available until the internet age came along. While not everyone likes the CBC because they think it’s too liberal, it is not meant to have a political bias. I suspect the problem is that “liberal” is increasingly used to label anything not completely right wing. You can’t please everyone!
Here in Canada, we also have better social programs to protect people who lose their jobs through unemployment insurance. And basic health care is a given. Nobody is going to go broke because they got cancer. I saw a Canadian version of the plot of Breaking Bad once: High school teacher is diagnosed with cancer. Gets treatment. /story. Don’t get me started on the 12 months maternity or paternity leave! The USA is pathetic at dealing with so many things and yet we your neighbours spend a ridiculous amount of time reading/watching/listening to media that proudly proclaims yourselves the “best country in the world!” Get over yourselves! and fie to those commenters who disparagingly say it can’t be done. School shootings are rare anywhere else. Higher levels of maternal deaths in the USA especially in poor areas. Worse education systems with higher levels of inequality in the USA. The list goes on.
Look around people. There is a whole world out there with countries who try different things to the USA and get different results! Shocking!
