We’re going down.

Humanity is inherently short sighted and overly proud of ourselves for having dragged ourselves up out of the mud. We tell ourselves that we are better than other animals because we are self-aware and can act with intent, with intelligence.

There are roughly 7 billion of us at the moment on this crowded planet. About half of all humanity live in China and India and Africa. We have built an amazing society where the smallest proportion in the history of the human animal live in poverty. We enjoy great wealth in most places of the world. Even in the places that remain poor, people have cell phones…
